Temperament of the Russian Blue

The Russian Blue is great company, remarkably intelligent, deeply affectionate, calm, and subtle. It forms a strong bond with its owner, leading to a true relationship of mutual devotion. A delightful companion, it is both attentive and friendly toward other pets, expressing itself with a quiet, gentle voice.

It thrives in a peaceful and serene atmosphere, being somewhat shy by nature. A high-stress or noisy environment can easily unsettle it. This is a cat that genuinely appreciates comfort and tranquility. Home-loving and fond of cozy surroundings, apartment living suits it perfectly, though staying indoors never makes it sluggish.

While it loves to play, it is never destructive. The Russian Blue is an active cat that enjoys climbing and running around enthusiastically at times, yet without becoming overly hyperactive. Although it values companionship, it copes well with being left alone during the day. Easygoing by nature, it won't engage in disruptive behavior while you are away... quite the opposite.
